All the baths at Iwama Onsen are hot spring mineral waters flowing directly from the source. No water is added, and the hot spring mineral waters are not artificially heated or rotated.
Hot spring mineral waters flow abundantly all day and all night long, so you can enjoy this pure hot spring at any time.
* You can bathe any time, including early in the morning or late at night, except between 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. when the baths are cleaned.
The outdoor bath has no roof and is very open and expansive. You will be surrounded by the invigorating landscape of greenery and mountains. At night, you can enjoy the hot spring mineral water flowing directly from the source under the star-filled sky with the star fields of the Milky Way.
The ceiling with its thick beams gives an air of openness to this indoor bath. Greenery can be seen through the high window. You can go to the outdoor bath directly from the indoor bath.
Iwama Onsen is a hot spring that rises very close to the fountain tower, a Special Natural Monument. It produces hot, abundant onsen mineral water.

You can relax for a moment after your bath at the Yuagari-dokoro, taking in the view of the garden at the foot of the mountain. The crystal stream running through the hexagonal stones flows constantly, and you can drink the cool, delicious natural water at any time.
An open-air bath is located at the source of Iwama Onsen’s hot spring, which is one hour’s walk from Yamazaki Ryokan. It is a different and expansive world in the mountains. Nearby, there is a mountain hut for resting and a place for boiling eggs in the hot spring.
You can play onsen ping-pong games, etc.
